Daniel has 27 years of experience in the fields of software training, human capital development, and performance management. He is the CEO/ Founder of ADSjr Capital Group, Inc. an organization founded in 2008 and incorporated in the spring of 2009. The Capital Group provides a number of services to large corporations, small businesses and individuals in Northern Alberta. The Capital Group’s software training services typically includes the identification of technology gaps specifically in the area of new and emerging technologies with a particular emphasis on business applications, generational diversity, and performance management.
Daniel was born in St. John’s, Antigua, and grew up in Kingston, Ontario, where his parents were educators at Queen’s University and St. Lawrence College. Daniel attended the Kingston Citadel Corps of the Salvation Army where he developed his love and passion for music and cornet under the influence of Kenneth R. Moore, former Director of Music for the Central Band, The Vimy Band and the RCMP Band. He also came under the influence of legendary Salvation Army Bandmaster, Jack Green of Belleville, Ontario, and Albert Probert of the Vimy Band during his high school years. Daniel is a 1983 graduate of the University of Ottawa with a degree in English with a minor in Applied Music and studied with Robert Oades and Eric Rupp while at the University Ottawa. Daniel is also a proud alumnus of the Ceremonial Guard Band. After graduation he enrolled in the Canadian military as a musician, first posted to the Canadian Forces School of Music in Victoria, British Columbia, and was eventually posted to his hometown band, the Canadian Forces Vimy Band in 1987, where he was a featured soloist and Compere with the band for 8 years. Daniel has played with numerous Salvation Army bands, community brass and concert bands and orchestras in Canada and was also the Divisional Director of Music for the Salvation Army in Cleveland, Ohio, where he led the NEOSA Youth Band. Shortly after moving to Edmonton in 2000, he became a member of Millcreek Colliery Band for two years and returned to the band in 2006 for a second tour. Daniel is currently a member of the Edmonton Temple Band of the Salvation Army. Daniel founded Mission Hill Brass in 2005 and currently is serving as its Director of Music. Daniel has been married to Dorothy for 36 years and they have four children and 4 grandchildren.
